March 5th, 2005 Six Flags takes the plunge!!
On Saturday March 5th about 300 people took an early dip into Lake Michigan as a way to raise money for the Special Olympics. As one of the sponsors, Six Flags invited a number of roller coaster enthusiasts to take part in the cold plunge. With the music playing and all participants dancing, it was a site to see, as all the invites dressed up as Mr. Six, the old man who danced his way into the hearts of many this past summer in the media campaign for Six Flags.
Anthony Gagliardi, a first time plunger had this comment "The worst part of the entire experience were the cold feet post-plunge. However, that feeling is gone quickly and in its place is a feeling of joy over having been a part of something special. It was definitely worth it!"
