Goodbye to Deja Vu at SFGam!
With all the rumors that have gone around the past couple of months about the status of Deja Vu at SFGAm, closing day gave us the final answer with the R.I.P tombstones that were located on either side of the que entrance. Even with all the problems Deja Vu has had in it's 7 year history at the park, it's still sad to loose such a great and unique coaster. It's the second one to leave the Six Flags parks, with the first being at SFOG.
This past Sunday night about 50 Acers and guest said a final goodbye to the Deja Vu coaster at SFGAm. With the temperatures in the mid 40's, all attendees got the chance to take one of the last three, public rides, just after park close. The attendees riding the last ride left a thunderous ovation that likely woke the entire town of Gurnee, IL. It was a bittersweet ending to a great 2007 season. I want to thank everyone at Six Flags Great America for allowing us the opportunity for the last rides on closing night. Also, thanks to the staff that stayed late to make it possible.
